About

Michael Nishizawa

I've spent 25 years building software and 17 leading the teams that build it.

Most of that time has gone to the same job: getting work off paper, out of spreadsheets, and out of people's heads, then getting the systems that hold it to talk to each other. The industries and the tools have changed. The work of getting a business from where it is to where it needs to be hasn't.

A lot of owners have tried AI lately and seen what's possible, but don't know how to finish it. Big companies have people whose job is to get that last stretch right. Most small businesses don't. That's the gap I work in, here in southwest Michigan. I live in Schoolcraft.

How I work

Independent

Independent by choice. My advice is shaped only by what is right for your business.

Plain spoken

If the answer is "keep what you have," that's the answer. If something needs a specialist, I'll say so.

Still hands-on

I still build software, so my estimates come from doing the work, not from reading about it.

Yours to keep

The plan belongs to you. Take it to any firm, do it yourself, or bring me back.
